Who Are We?

We come from farm families in the province of Si Saket in Northeast Thailand. Rose is from the village of Ban Lampoo and has a dressmaking shop in the small town of Khukhan.

Siamese Style was started in the year 1999 as a place to sell handwoven silk. Over the years, we added new products as the result of requests from visitors and suggestions from friends. Our focus remains Thai farmers - their clothes, tools, what they do to suppliment their income and the things they use in their daily lives. We also specialize in custom made clothing.

We emphasize the traditional, the rural, the homemade and the handmade. The sources for our products are relatives and people we know personally. We purchase our products as close to the original source as possible to keep prices down and provide more capital to those who make them.

We buy our products from:
*Family and friends in my village
*Workers' cooperatives in Si Saket and Ubon
*Small local, independent merchants in Khukhan

Products include:
*Hand woven silk made in a remote Thai village in Si Saket Province on handmade wooden looms.
*Custom tailored traditional Thai wedding dresses and attire.
*Custom designed clothing, including tradtional Thai style clothes for men and women, silk blouses and suits.
*Homemade denim clothing for men and women. This lightweight but durable material was made popular by Thai famers. It is exceptionally practical.
*Authentic Thai famers' paraphernalia.
