Trucks line a street in the market town of Khukan in Si Saket Province waiting to return farmers to their villages. Often the roads are poor and the only practical means to come and go is by truck. Khukhan is rather busy in the morning and early afternoon, but quiets down after the farmers go home. Food vendors set up stalls so that folks can have a bite to eat or a snack while they wait. Similar scenes can be found throughout Northeast Thailand, known as Isaan.
