Introduction:
All of our
wedding attire is 100% custom made specifically for you. The silk is spun,
dyed the color(s) you choose and woven on handmade looms. Your piece will
be totally unique. No one in the world will have one like it.
How
much does wedding attire cost?
Most
dresses range between $500 and $1,100. A lot depends on the embroidery
and bead work you want. This is especially true of the sabai (sash).
How many colors and whether the fabric has a pattern woven into it are
also factors.
Men's
attire varies widely, depending on whether a more Thai or western outfit
is required. In general, prices are less than for women.
How
do I make payment?
We accept PayPal and all major credit cards. Payment by check in US dollars
or bank transfers in Thai baht can be done by special arrangement.
How
long does it take?
Because
the work is custom done for you, we like to allow about three months.
Our work is very personal and requires an exchange of emails and double
checks to make sure you get exactly what you want for your special day.
In some cases we can do the work in a month, but this is not our preference.
Are
there any "surprise" costs?
We
will stand by the quote we give you. Postage to western countries can
be a bit expensive - especially if air mail or EMS is required.
Can
you work from my designs and photos?
Yes.
How
do you do measurements?
We
have a special webpage that details how and what to measure.
Is
the fabric real handwoven Thai silk?
Yes
and that is an absolute guarentee.
Is
the silk purchased from a shop or outlet?
No.
It is woven specifically for you by friends and relatives in my village
or nearby villages.
How
much is postage?
That
depends on the method of shipment and destination. It generally ranges
from $50-$80 to western countries (much less to Thailand).
How
long does it take for the wedding attire to arrive after shipping?
In general:
One week airmail or EMS to western countries.
One month economy air.
Three months surface.
Can you ship to a hotel in Thailand?
Yes.
Can
you do attire for other members of the wedding party?
Yes.
Can
you get items like the belts and other jewelry shown in the photos?
Yes. This is done on a one by one basis. We do not stock these
items, but can do our best to find items similar to those in the photos. (Since
we are not able to get refunds on items we purchase for you, we do not
offer a refund. We promise to do our best to make you happy though.)
Do you offer a wedding service
package?
No.
Can
you get gifts for wedding guests?
Yes. As with the jewelry,
this is done on a one by one basis.
